Train Birthday

So I took some time out of my busy house face lifting day to make a card. I am getting so rusty that I went straight to the Sketch challenge for Wednesday to give me a boast. After seeing the sketch I knew exactly which set I wanted to use. We have lots of train lovers in our family and extended family so this set was a must. I stamped the train with Night of Navy Craft ink and embossed with clear embossing powder. The letters I cut out with the Big Shot. I love how easy they are to apply with the glue pen. Hopefully next week I will have less to do and more time to stamp. The tile is laid and tomorrow we finish grouting. Hopefully I can move my furniture back in from the deck this weekend!

Stamps: Happiness is a Journey
Paper: Garden green, Night of Navy,Basic Grey, Prestwick DSp
Ink: Night of Navy Craft
Accessories: Clear Embossing Powder, Big Shot, Naturally Serif Alphabet Die, Photo Corner Punch, Night of Navy Grosgrain

Have a WONDERFUL Weekend!

ETA: Ok, I was in such a hurry to get this card together this afternoon that I just now (8 hrs later) noticed that I have one of my p's and the d turned around. Oh, well at least I can fix it on the card....

Thanks for my Big Shot :)

Well, I made sure I got around to making at least one card this week. We are doing some upgrades around the house and I really want to get that done. It was hard not to stamp as I had orders drifting in all week long. I apologize for the picture as the sun is just not in the same position as it usually is and it was hard finding a spot without shadows in our woods.

Boy, am I going to love having a Die cut machine. For those who may have missed it Stampin' Up! is now carrying the Big Shot by Sizzix. I have never used a machine like this but it is so easy. I vowed not to play until my room and desk were cleaned. My room was the dump everything room while we painted and worked on the other rooms, so it was not an easy task, but I held out! Meanwhile I could not keep Garrett's (my almost 13 yr old) hands off it. I think he used every die that I bought at least once. I had to use one of my new sets (can you see it lightly on the scallop?). What a fun, inexpensive set Pocket Silhouettes is. I can see so many possibilities with it! I cannot believe I did a card that said "Thanks" I am always getting on my kids to finish it and say "Thank you" So here I am....I did do a lot of sponging around the edges.:)

Ink: So Saffron, Tangerine Tango, Kiwi Kiss

Punchy Monkey

Yes. I am still alive! I had a workshop and then I took a nice little trip to my parent's for a few days to get a bit of a break. So today I decided to play with a new set and some of the new In Colors. I wanted to see what I could do with these monkeys with out cutting them out and layering them. So I decided to go with funky colored monkeys. I used the square punches to punch them out. I also sponged around the edges of the monkey squares. I am loving these new In Colors!

Happy Anniversary

I needed a quick and simple card for a friend's anniversary. I love how the new Kiwi Kiss went with the Bravo Burgundy. I stamped the image in Kiwi Kiss and then used the marker to outline the edges of the flowers and the butterfly. I used the Old Olive Brads. I think they complement the Kiwi Kiss very well. Off to take the kids to swim lessons, no migraine so far today!

Stamps: Sanded Background, Celebrate Everything, Essence of Love
Paper: Kiwi Kiss, Bravo Burgundy, Whisper White
Ink: Kiwi Kiss, Bravo Burgundy
Accessories: Old Olive Brads, Tool kit for piercing, Circle punches
